The Pitless weighbridge is the most suitable weighbridge design for sites where excavation work for foundations is difficult or expensive. This design is also considered for temporary sites where weighbridges are removed once the project is complete. In pitless design, the entire weighbridge structure fits above ground level and the way to the elevated weighbridge structure is forged using steel or concrete ramps on both sides of the weighbridge. The electronic component of a typical electronic weighbridge has – a Digital Weight Controller and Load cells.
Digital Weighbridge Controller
The TEFl221 Xellent is a microprocessor-based digital weighbridge Indicator, equipped with a bright Red LED for displaying weights and an in-built RS232 Serial Port which can be used for interfacing the Indicator to any IBM compatible PC or other remote devices.
The TEFl221 Xellent can source up to 8 Load Cells and can be digitally calibrated through external panel keys, fully programmable.
Load cells
Varied load cell models to choose from as per the right fit for the application.
Application Areas
Pit less weighbridges are suitable for areas where –
- Land is rocky
- Excavation is costly or difficult
- Space limitations are not there
- Low lying areas with water logging issues are prominent
- Site operations are temporary since pit fewer weighbridges can be shifted easily
Benefits
- Easy and fast shifting from one site to another
- Large pit excavation is not required
